Skellig Michael Lighthouse, completed in 1826, sits on the larger of the Skellig Rocks, an isolated and majestic location off the coast of County Kerry. Originally, two lighthouses were built here, though only the lower light remains active today. The lighthouse’s remote and dramatic setting, combined with its history of semaphore signaling to Bull Rock, make it a notable piece of Ireland’s maritime legacy.
