This sea light stands proudly at the southernmost tip of Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands, serving as a trusted beacon for sailors navigating the southern entrance to Galway Bay.
The tower and dwellings were built of the local very hard limestones which sees it listed within the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage, calling it “a masterpiece of ashlar limestone construction”.
