For the Titanic Experience in Cobh we developed two multi-lingual touchscreen applications for use by visitors of the exhibition.
The first application Electronic Postcards lets the user choose and select an e-card and send it from the exhibition, selfie included, by email to friends with the option to share the card on their Facebook page.
The objective [of the application] is to increase the online visibility of the exhibition and to collect – with the user?s consent – a list of the visitors email addresses. These are then automatically sent every day to the back office where they can be used and imported into their mailing lists and other promotional publications.
The second application, Currency is a kiosk-style information screen letting the user see the difference in value then and now. The visitor can select from options such as travel, wages or food and browse different comparisons between the early 1900?s and modern times.
