Inishowen
Inishowen Lighthouse, also known as Strove Lighthouse, was built in 1837 and later elevated by 7.6 meters with a cast iron structure in 1871. Situated at Ireland’s northernmost peninsula, it originally had twin towers to guide vessels into Lough Foyle. Now a single active tower, the lighthouse provides a dramatic contrast to the rugged Donegal coastline and remains a symbol of the region’s maritime heritage.
