Dingle lighthouse, built by the same engineer who designed Fastnet, was established in 1885. It stands at the entrance to Dingle Harbour, one of the busiest fishing ports in County Kerry. The lighthouse’s location offers stunning views of Dingle Bay and the surrounding peninsula, making it both a functional beacon for mariners and a picturesque site for visitors. Dingle’s maritime history and cultural significance add to the lighthouse’s appeal.
Built by the same engineer who designed Fastnet, the lighthouse is located on the east side of the entrance to Dingle Harbour from Dingle Bay. It is operated by Dingle Harbour Commissioners.
