Brant Point

Brant Point Lighthouse, standing at the entrance to Nantucket Harbor, has been a guiding light for mariners since 1746, making it one of the oldest lighthouses in the United States. Though it has been rebuilt multiple times due to storm damage, its role as a crucial navigational aid has remained constant. Positioned along one of the busiest maritime routes of its time, the lighthouse has long helped vessels safely enter the harbor.

With its long-standing presence along Nantucket’s coastline, Brant Point Light has become deeply connected to the island’s maritime history. The ever-changing coastal conditions and the need for safe passage into Nantucket’s protected waters have made this lighthouse an essential landmark. Today, it continues to serve as both an active aid to navigation and a lasting tribute to the region’s seafaring past.

Materials

Printed with archival pigment ink on 290gr art paper with a slightly textured silk finish.

Pigment inks are designed to be stable over long periods of time, allowing prints to be displayed (under proper conditions) for many decades.

All mounts and backing boards are lignin-free, alkaline-sized, pH neutral and are calcium carbonate buffered to enhance their useful lifespan by minimising the effect of atmospheric pollutants.
Sizing

Available in 2 sizes mounted in a heavy board and backing measuring:

- 20 x 20cm (8” x 8”) | image size: 15 x 15cm (6” x 6”)
- 30 x 30cm (12” x 12”) | image size: 20 x 20 cm (8” x 8”)

The mounted art print comes wrapped in a cellophane bag for extra protection. Each mounted print come with its own story and some fun facts included on an insert.

All mounted prints are also available in a white solid wood frame:

- For the 20 x 20cm print: the frame measures 20mm deep with a 20mm wide border
- For the 30 x 30cm print: the frame measures 30mm deep with a 30mm wide border

Our frames are made locally here in Ireland and constructed out of hardwood and painted white.

Avoid hanging in direct sunlight as this may cause the colours to fade and affect the paper.
