Ballycotton

Ballycotton Lighthouse in Co. Cork stands on a steep island just off the coast, first lit in 1851 and later painted black, making it one of the very few black lighthouses in the world. Overlooking the Atlantic, it remains one of the most distinctive landmarks on Ireland’s south coast.
