Heceta Head

Heceta Head Lighthouse, named after Spanish explorer Bruno de Heceta, has been lit since 1894, with the tower itself built in the preceding years to guide sailors through Oregon’s rugged Pacific waters. Perched atop a dramatic bluff, this iconic lighthouse is known for its striking white tower and red lantern room, making it one of the most photographed lighthouses in the United States. Its location in the Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint offers sweeping views of the lush forests and stunning coastline that characterize the Pacific Northwest.

For over a century, Heceta Head has withstood the fierce weather of the Oregon Coast, continuing to protect mariners navigating these rocky shores. The lighthouse’s timeless design and enduring functionality make it a symbol of resilience, and it remains a vital piece of Oregon’s maritime history.

Materials

Printed with archival pigment ink on 290gr art paper with a slightly textured silk finish.

Pigment inks are designed to be stable over long periods of time, allowing prints to be displayed (under proper conditions) for many decades.

All mounts and backing boards are lignin-free, alkaline-sized, pH neutral and are calcium carbonate buffered to enhance their useful lifespan by minimising the effect of atmospheric pollutants.
Sizing

Available in 2 sizes mounted only or framed measuring:

- 15cm x 20cm (8″ x 6″) | image size 10cm x 15cm (4″ x 6″)
- 30cm x 40cm (12″ x 16″) | image size 21cm x 30cm (8″ x 12″)

The art print comes mounted in a heavy board with backing.

The mounted print comes wrapped in a cellophane bag for extra protection and include their own story and some fun facts on an insert.

All mounted prints are also available in a white solid wood frame. The frame measures 20mm deep and has a 20mm wide border. Our frames are made locally here in Ireland and constructed out of hardwood and painted white.

Avoid hanging in direct sunlight as this may cause the colours to fade and affect the paper.
