Mizen Head
Mizen Head Lighthouse, completed in 1959, stands on Cloghnane Island, one of Ireland’s southwesternmost points. Originally established as a fog signal station in 1909, Mizen Head is famous for its dramatic cliffside location and the iconic Mizen Head bridge, rebuilt in 2010. Fully automated since 1993, it remains a key attraction for visitors exploring Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
