The Baily
The Baily Lighthouse, first built in 1667 and replaced in 1790, is perched on Howth Head, northeast of Dublin. It was the last Irish lighthouse to be fully automated in 1997, signaling the end of an era for lighthouse keepers in Ireland. Offering sweeping views of Dublin Bay, The Baily has long been an iconic feature of the Dublin coastline and remains an essential guide for ships approaching the city.
