North Bull
Built in 1880, North Bull Lighthouse marks the entrance to Dublin Harbour. Positioned at the end of the North Bull Wall, which was constructed to prevent sand build-up in the harbor, the lighthouse was crucial in the deepening of the entry channel over time. Painted green, in line with navigational markers, North Bull continues to guide vessels along the Irish Sea’s busy routes, its history intertwined with Dublin’s maritime evolution.
