St. Johns (Donegal)
St. John’s Point Lighthouse, completed in 1831, is a harbor light guiding ships into Donegal Bay and towards Killybegs Harbour. Located on one of Ireland’s longest peninsulas, it has witnessed many significant events, including the wrecks of several Spanish Armada ships in 1588. Known for its striking granite construction, the lighthouse was automated as early as 1932.
